At your lowest point in life, what and how if anything in particular helped you rise back to the top ?
I have had many low points in my life, and the things that got me through in no particular order were good friends, yoga, exercise, my family (the ones I am talking to at least….), my psychologist and medication. I am a firm believer that there is no shame in asking for help, medically or not, when you need it. When my most recent relationship ended, I was beside myself. I crawled to my GP and asked for valium to get me through. She gave me a script for a week. It was the first time ever I had asked for valium but it got me through. I wouldn’t recommend taking one every day at all – it is not a solution. But it does have its place, like all meds. I also had a marvellous 6 sessions with an amazing hypnotist who made me believe in myself again. If you are having a low time, please know it passes. Everything will be OK in the end.
